flowers

Lately I've been in a bit of a photography slump, taking mostly portraits or snapshots... So I decided it was time to do SOMETHING!
I grabbed my camera, and looked around my apartment for a subject to photograph. These are the results.
While they are pretty pictures, I'd like to start a project... something longer and more meaningful.
What else can I do to be creative, in a different way, and get back into making good photographs daily?

  1. agreed, very beautiful pictures. as far as starting a project i would suggest narrative or an in-depth study of someone or thing. I know you are a good photographer so I am sure you can find a subject that is ripe with meaning and symbolism. perhaps it would be best to make the subject people or a person. or it can also be documentation of a process that someone is going through. like Lina learns how to walk the tight rope, each photo should show her progression and perhaps her downfalls. Anyway, just some thoughts.

  2. I really like that idea. I was considering starting a people of Pittsburgh set or something similar, but I think following one person through something would be more interesting. And if Lina learns to walk the tight rope, please let me know, I MUST document it!
